Bryan & Company is proud to announce its involvement with Habitat For Humanity for 2010.
Recently, many of the firms members along with their friends and families participated in a project with Habitat for Humanity. Nearly 40 individuals participated in the Bryan & Company Habitat for Humanity initiative between May 19 and 26. The firm provided volunteers for five full days assisting with a project in Spruce Grove, Alberta. Our volunteers found the experience very valuable and rewarding. All of the volunteers that came aboard gave a gift that really mattered, their time and dedication to any job, no matter how big or small. The crew each day worked on various tasks such as insulating, dry-walling, painting, finishing work, cabinet making, assembling closet organizers, flooring, and more.
Habitat for Humanity makes housing affordable for families below the low income cut off. They build homes through volunteer support and donations that are sold to those in need. The families require no deposit up front; however, they willingly contribute their time in the form of sweat equity to the tune of 500 volunteer hours. The families receive an affordable, no interest mortgage based on 25 – 30% of the family’s income. Habitat for Humanity relies on volunteers, as well as large sponsor support and financial donations to assist those less fortunate. The team at Bryan and Company is glad to have played a part with Habitat For Humanity to assist with this worthy cause.
