Representative Work

Bill has a varied practice wherein he provides legal and business advice to entrepreneurial/business clients, government and financial institutions regarding health care, commercial and real estate transactions and strategic planning initiatives, including:

  • Health care negotiations and agreements such as medical and pharmacy service provider agreements with government and the private sector
  • Corporate governance and strategic planning for businesses including incorporations, joint ventures and partnerships and all agreements relating thereto such as unanimous shareholder agreements
  • Commercial and real estate transactions including negotiations of deals and all required documentation such as purchase and sale agreements and financing agreements
  • Employment relationships including the negotiating of executive employment agreements
  • Real estate brokerage/agency including negotiations and interpretation of Seller Brokerage and Buyer Brokerage agreements
  • Dispute resolution/mediation/arbitration services

Profile

Bill has acted as the former Chairman and member of the Board of the Legal Education Society of Alberta (LESA). He has been a lecturer and the Head of Course for the Real Property subject matter of the Bar Admission course for the Province of Alberta. Bill regularly lectures on the topics of Agency Law and Real Property Law for local and provincial Real Estate Associations and Boards. Bill has lectured at the University of Alberta on the topics of Contract Law, Real Estate Law and the Land Titles system.
