Emily is an Associate at Bryan & Company, gaining practical experience across a wide spectrum of practice areas. Her strong foundation in legal research, writing, and advocacy positions her well to contribute effectively to the Firm’s full-service offerings. Demonstrating a deep commitment to social justice, Emily has a proven track record of assisting marginalized individuals with complex legal matters. Her experience advocating for human rights and access to social benefits underscores her passion for making a tangible difference in the lives of those she serves.
Emily’s practical legal experience is complemented by her academic achievements and extracurricular involvement. She honed her legal research and writing skills while contributing to scholarly discourse as a member of the Alberta Law Review. She also acted as a Writing Fellow during law school, showcasing her ability to mentor and guide others. She sharpened her advocacy skills by participating in the National Labour Arbitration Competition while in law school, a team she now coaches. Since joining Bryan & Company, Emily has appeared in the Court of King’s Bench.
Outside of work, Emily enjoys an active lifestyle, evidenced by her involvement with the Panda Bearristers Rugby Club during law school. Emily also enjoys giving back to the community as a lifeguard. Her commitment to access to justice extends beyond her associate position, as she volunteers as a lawyer with the Edmonton Community Legal Centre. Through this role, she directly assists those in need and reinforces her dedication to making a positive impact on the lives of others through the practice of law.
