Ben is a partner at Bryan & Company where he practices corporate law with an emphasis on mergers and acquisitions involving both public and private companies and assisting clients with growth and succession planning.
Ben’s focus on strategic planning includes assisting his clients with the organization of corporations, joint ventures, partnerships, limited partnerships, professional corporations, and not-for-profit organizations, as well as the governance of those entities including shareholder agreements, partnership agreements, limited partnership agreements, and joint venture agreements.
He also has significant experience counselling his clients on business enterprise succession planning, including developing strategies concerning the purchase or sale of a business, and advising on the implementation of mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and reorganization of business ventures. Ben is also adept at assisting business organizations with solving operational problems, including difficulties relating to dealings with banks and financial institutions. He often advises on the procurement of debt and equity financing arrangements.
Ben is actively involved in various charitable organizations in the community, including:
- ABC Head Start Society (past chair, past director);
- The Support Network Foundation (past director);
- University of Alberta Golden Bears and Pandas Tennis Alumni Society (past director);
- Mental Health Foundation (past chair, past director); and
- Covenant Health Foundation.
Ben is also busy within the Firm, where he sits on the Management Committee, Business Development Committee, and Professional Development Committee. He has been recognized by The Best Lawyers in CanadaTM for 10 years in the areas of Corporate Law and Mergers and Acquisitions Law.
