Carter Greschner

Carter is a partner with Bryan & Company, primarily practicing civil litigation. He resolves clients’ issues through the use of the court system, effective negotiation and alternative dispute resolution such as mediation. Carter understands and appreciates the issues his clients face, applying a mix of practical and legal knowledge to reach solutions in a timely and effective manner. He also advises clients on preventive measures so they can avoid troublesome situations in the future.

Carter has appeared at all levels of Court in Alberta and was successful at trial and appeal in the employment law matter Baker v Weyerhaeuser Company Limited, which has now become a leading case regarding just cause dismissals in Alberta. He has been recognized by The Best Lawyers in Canada^TM for his work in Corporate and Commercial Litigation.

Carter is a member of the firm’s Management Committee, a co-chair of the Litigation Department and serves on the Respectful Workplace Committee. He works as a sessional instructor at the U of A Faculty of Law, teaching Employment Law and Professionalism and Ethics, and has also been an advising lawyer for Student Legal Services for many years.
