Joseph (Joe) is a partner at Bryan & Company with extensive experience representing various organizations within the construction industry including owners, general contractors, subcontractors, and material suppliers. He is also adept at navigating commercial litigation proceedings involving the enforcement of security, insolvency, bankruptcy, collections, and creditors’ rights.
Other areas of focus for Joe are matters relating to wills, trusts, and estates, including the preparation of wills, enduring powers of attorney, and estate planning, as well as advising on the estate implications of re-marriages and common-law relationships. He assists his clients with the management and protection of estate assets through the establishment of trusts for spouses, children, and grandchildren. Joe also advises executors and corporate trustees on the administration of trusts and estates and is experienced in all manners of estate litigation including probate, intestacy, and contested matters.
Joe provides his clients with responsive and thoughtful guidance. He views the practice of law as a privilege and focuses on assisting and serving those who need help. He has appeared at all levels of court in Alberta and several arbitration tribunals. He has received The Best Lawyers in CanadaTM designations in Construction Law and Corporate Commercial Litigation for many years running.
Outside of the office, Joe is well known in St. Albert for his quiet dedication to his family and the community. He previously volunteered as the Vice President of the St. Albert Minor Hockey Association and is a founding member of the St. Albert Raiders Hockey Club.
