Matthew J. Cowan

Matt skillfully guides corporate and individual clients on a wide range of corporate and commercial matters. His representative experience includes advising on the sale, acquisition, and financing of commercial properties, including multi-unit residential properties and mixed use commercial developments. Matt is also experienced in advising on mergers and acquisitions, as well as banking matters including bi-lateral and syndicated financings. He assists his clients with navigating Alberta’s securities regulatory regime, including in respect of private placements and exempt market distributions. Matt is also heavily involved with the Firm’s Residential Real Estate group.

A former member of the University of Alberta men’s soccer team, outside of the office Matt is most often found on the pitch or a slo-pitch diamond around Edmonton.
