Samantha N. Hanson

Samantha Hanson is a Partner at Bryan & Company LLP, where she focuses her practice on corporate and commercial law. Samantha advises entrepreneurs, owner-managed businesses, professional corporations, investors, and other organizations on a broad range of legal matters throughout the business lifecycle. Her practice includes mergers and acquisitions, corporate reorganizations, commercial financing transactions, business succession planning, corporate governance, shareholder matters, and the negotiation and drafting of complex commercial agreements.

Drawing on significant experience leading and advising on sophisticated commercial transactions, Samantha provides strategic legal counsel that helps clients navigate opportunities, manage risk, and achieve their business objectives. She is known for combining technical legal knowledge with practical business advice, enabling clients to make informed decisions in even the most complex situations. Samantha works closely with small and medium-sized businesses, providing tailored legal solutions that support their growth, development, acquisitions, and successful transitions.

Committed to serving both the legal profession and the broader community, Samantha currently serves as President of the Alumni & Friends of the Faculty of Law, an organization dedicated to raising funds for student bursaries, enhancing the student and alumni experience, and supporting the Edmonton Community Legal Centre. She also serves as Treasurer of the Talmud Torah Society and sits on the Board of Directors of the Organization for the Prevention of Violence, a non-partisan, expert-led nongovernment organization devoted to public safety. Samantha frequently gives back through mentoring law students, presenting professional development seminars, and helping organize the Faculty of Law’s annual Spring Reception.

Within the firm, Samantha serves on the Associate Evaluation Committee and the Social Committee, where she is actively involved in supporting the professional development of Bryan & Company’s associates and fostering a strong and collegial firm culture through charitable and community-focused initiatives.

Outside of her professional life, Samantha enjoys spending time with her husband and two daughters. She is an avid traveler and sports fan.
